Why "Site One" ?

1. It's a friendly place.

We believe that the World Wide Web can be a useful as well as an entertaining tool ... if it is easy to use. Unfortunately, the Web today can be a most confusing place, to veterans and certainly to newcomers! There are millions of different "home pages or "web sites" out there, and the list is growing as you read this!

Yes, it can be fun to "surf the web" and search, search, search just to see where you may go when you follow all those links, but you may never find the information you really wanted or even come close. As you may have discovered, until now no one had harnessed the web so most of us could actually use it. Not very friendly.

Site One was created to provide that ease of use through "pointing and clicking" via familiar subject headings (our Web Destinations). We hope you will agree thatSite One is "user friendly".

2. It's a community place.

As you will discover, our vision for Site One is to be a comprehensive "Web Showcase" for the Greater Gulf Coast "Community".

There are twelve counties which collectively form the Greater Gulf Coast. They are the counties in Mississippi, Alabama, and the panhandle of Florida which touch the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Another common element is they are all connected by Interstate Highway 10 and/or US Highway 98. On these pages you will be able to take a "virtual visit" to many of these counties, learn about their towns, attractions, and scheduled activities.

3. It's a family place.

It is our goal that the content we have developed for our clients and the sites we provide links to, are worthy of your time and suitable for the entire family to view. While we make every attempt to preview the "off premises" sites, we have no actual control over their content. Site One is also here to assist merchants and those who provide services inform the public about their offerings.

Yes, we are the new electronic media for advertising. In addition to this "search enabled" publicity, we roll out infomation about Site One and your products and services through news releases and traditional media. Webmasters at the thousands of sites linked to by Site One are being contacted to suggest links from their pages directly to the Site One home page.
