Distinctives - Confessions

This section was last updated On..

Baptists are not a creedal people. We believe in the priesthood of every believer meaning God's Spirit enables every Christian to read and understand His Word for himself. Baptists are however a confessional people. These are some good examples of statements of faith and catechisms various Baptists have formulated through the years. To read an excellent study of the use of confessions and catechisms go to An Encouragement to Use Catechisms by Tom J. Nettles.
