The Pursuit of God
by A.W. Tozer

In a small cemetery in Akron, Ohio a simple tombstone bears these few words: "A Man of God." There could be nothing more fitting for the resting place of the remains of A.W. Tozer. Born in 1897 in Western Pennsylvania, and raised with little formal education, Tozer came to be known as a true prophet of the Twentieth Century. His books and writings speak of a man who understood the pursuit of God before he wrote about it. God called this man of depth and passion home in 1963 but his influence looms large to this day. We picked The Pursuit of God as one of our top ten most important books. Read the on-line version here and learn why.
