Research of the nature required to write this kind of history is very demanding. Often times, church records have been lost completely. Simpson County's courthouse and its records were completely lost on two different occasions to fire between 1850 and 1900. Some churches no longer exist and others have moved and changed names several times. All of these factors, and the lack of other published histories of the area make this a challenging work.
