John Deere Landscapes Teams Up With The Environmental Protection Agency

ALPHARETTA, Georgia (September 13, 2012) - John Deere Landscapes has proudly teamed up with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) WaterSense program to offer contractors water-efficient product choices, available now in all John Deere Landscapes locations.

Products that earn the WaterSense label must meet or exceed EPA's criteria to use water more efficiently while performing as well as or better than conventional models that use more water.

The goal of WaterSense is to decrease consumers' outdoor water use by promoting high efficiency products and simple water-saving practices. By offering customers a selection of products that have earned the WaterSense label, John Deere Landscapes is helping to conserve water as well as helping consumers save money on their utility bills without sacrificing quality.

"The WaterSense label helps consumers identify high-performing, water-efficient products," said Sheila Frace, director of the EPA Office of Water's Municipal Support Division. "By purchasing WaterSense labeled plumbing fixtures, consumers can help protect the water supply and their wallets."

John Deere Landscapes is the nation's leading supplier of wholesale irrigation, landscape lighting, nursery, and turf and maintenance supplies for green industry contractors.
