Description

Eleocharis Acicularis Needle Spikerush is a perennial grass that spreads by creeping rhizomes and forms a colony. Single, sharply pointed spikes of tiny blooms emerge from the stems' tips of Needle Spikerush. The accent can be planted near ponds, streams, and in bog landscapes. Needle Spikerush thrives in full sun in acidic to slightly alkaline, wet soils. The grass has very thin, grass-green stems. The two, thin bladeless leaves appear from both sides of the stem and narrow down to a paper-like sheath at the base.
