Holodiscus Discolor Ocean Spray is a multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with slender, straight to slightly arching stems. The leaves are broadly ovate, deeply lobed, and toothed. The deep green leaves are white and hairy on the underside. The shrub is covered in delicate clouds of fragrant, creamy-white flowers arranged in large, pendent, plumed clusters from late spring to late summer. The flowers are followed by tiny, light brown fruits that often last into fall and winter. Ocean Spray grows best in full sun or partial shade and dry to moist, fertile, well-drained soil. It is suitable for beds and borders.
