Oemleria Cerasiformis Osoberry blooms with greenish-white, almond-scented flowers in late winter in late February and March. The flowers are followed by pitted, olive-sized fruits. The fruits emerge green, change to salmon, and finally mature to purple-black in June. It has elliptic to oblong lime-green leaves with pale gray-green undersides. The deciduous shrub is perfect for landscape accents, hedges, and naturalized areas. Osoberry grows in full sun to partial shade with fertile, acidic, moist, but well-drained soil.
