Description

‘Charlie’s White’ (often shown as Charles/Charlie’s White) is an heirloom herbaceous lactiflora peony introduced by Carl G. Klehm in 1951 and prized for its large, early-to-mid-season, fully double “flower-in-a-flower” blooms — white outer guard petals surrounding a compact, creamy-yellow inner ball that gives the flowers a warm, glowing center. The plants are vigorous, tall, strongly stemmed and lightly fragrant, making them a favorite for cutting and wedding bouquets; they form robust clumping mounds of dark green foliage each season before dying back in winter. The cultivar is well established in the trade and valued for reliable flowering and good stem strength.
