Crocosmia X Crocosmiiflora Columbus Montbretia enjoys full sun or partial shade and humus-rich, moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Columbus Montbretia comprises clumps of erect, sword-shaped, medium-green leaves. From mid-summer through early fall, gold and purple buds open to orange-yellow flowers. The flowers of the perennial have purple sepals and tiny mahogany marks on their throats. Columbus Montbretia is suitable for beds, borders, banks, slopes, and containers.
