Description

Arctostaphylos Hookeri Wayside Manzanita has cinnamon-red stems with pointed, dark green leaves held perpendicular to the sun. With time, it develops highly ornamental glossy red bark and masses of white flowers in spring. This evergreen shrub is low and thick, reaching a height of 2 feet and a width of 6 feet. Wayside Manzanita does well in fun sun and makes a great ground or bank cover for soil that is not amended or boggy. It can be used for hellstrips and dry borders.
