Its pendulous foliage with 9-13 minute spreading teeth that do not overlap is an attractive feature. The 3 inches long pollen-bearing flowers bloom from March to December with colors yellow-brown for males and red for females. Drooping She-Oak is ideal for use in providing shade and absorbing winds, and its seeds are food for livestock and eaten by birds. The leaves decompose into humus, and it produces glowing charcoal fire.
