Angelica Archangelica Wild Celery

Angelica archangelica, commonly known as Wild Celery or Garden Angelica, is a biennial herb showcasing a tall and erect stature that adds vertical interest to herb gardens and natural areas. The umbal type flowers are a shade of white to greenish-white, on display in the second year. Wild Celery grows in areas from cool temperate to subarctic climates, but does particularly well in riparian sites and rain gardens. Wild Celery is know for its aromatic and edible nature, its distinctive flavor reminiscent of celery and anise.
