Chamaecyparis Obtusa Nana Hinoki Falsecypress is an evergreen, pyramidal shrub with broad-spreading growth that is a coastal beauty. The reddish brown, scaled bark contrasts with the green, needled, glossy leaves, which have white X-like markings beneath. Fruit-like cones appear green in the summer and turn brown as they mature. Nana Hinoki Falsecypress works well as specimen accents. It grows best in full sun to partial shade and prefers moist, organic, well-drained soils.
