Malus X Robinson Crabapple

Malus X Robinson Crabapple is a deciduous tree displaying a rounded growth habit. Robinson Crabapple is blanketed in ovate to elliptic, bronze-green leaves with red veins. The young leaves are purple in spring and acquire orange shades during fall. Robinson Crabapple produces masses of crimson buds that give way to deep pink blooms in mid-spring. It grows well in moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soils in full sun. The ornamental tree can be used in cities, cottages, or containers. In fall, edible, spherical bright red fruits emerge from this shrub.
