Podocarpus Latifolius Real Yellowood

Podocarpus Latifolius Real Yellowood has narrow, elliptic, simple, glossy dark green leaves that alternate. When the leaves mature, they turn blue and thick, and leathery. Real Yellowood is a tree with cones (gymnosperm). Male and female cones are found on separate trees. Male cones are straw-colored, while female cones have seeds enclosed in a fleshy receptacle. On the receptacle, round, blue-green, or purple fruits appear. From December to February, the fruits mature. The evergreen shrub thrives in both sun and shade. Real Yellowood has an upright-narrow habit.
