Pyracantha X Mohave Firethorn is distinguished by its glossy dark green narrow foliage and upright branches. This evergreen shrub is prized for its dense clusters of bright red-orange berries, which create a spectacular display of fall color. Despite being an early fruiting variety, the showy berries have little bird appeal. Mohave Firethron prefers moist, well-drained soil in full sun but is adaptable to a wide range of soils and pH levels. It is resistant to scab and fireblight and makes an excellent evergreen hedge, screen, or accent.
