Pyrus Communis 'Bartlett' Pear thrives in moist, fertile, deep, well-drained soils and full sun. 'Bartlett' Pear produces aromatic, creamy white flowers in early to mid-spring. The 'Bartlett' requires pollination by a tree of another variety with the same bloom period in order to produce fruit. 'Bartlett' Pear has elliptic, shiny green leaves that turn to shades of red and yellow during fall. The blossoms give way to smooth, sweet, medium-large, thin-skinned, yellow fruit. The white flesh is sweet and the pear form has a short neck. The 'Bartlett' Pear takes up to four years to produce fruit.
