Robinia Pseudoacacia Black Locust is treasured for the pendant-like clusters of fragrant, pea-shaped, white flowers blooming from late spring to early summer. Black Locust's leaves are dark blue-green with 5-11 pairs of leaflets. Fall brings out yellow shades of the leaves. It performs best in dry to medium, well-drained soils in full sun. The deciduous shrub has a spreading and suckering nature. Smooth, flat, purple-brown seed pods emerge from this ornamental tree in fall.
