Abelia X Grandiflora 'Kaleidoscope' Glossy Abelia is a dwarf, and semi-evergreen shrub blanketed in lustrous, oval leaves. The new leaves emerge as bright yellow and lime-green in spring, acquire a golden-yellow hue in summer, and turn orange and fiery red in autumn. Pink buds open to bunches of aromatic, white, tubular flowers in late spring. 'Kaleidoscope' Glossy Abelia can be used for an informal hedge, specimen, or container planting. It prefers full sun to partial shade and average, medium moisture, well-drained soils. It is hardy and will become drought tolerant once established. Abelia is known to be deer resistant and salt tolerant.
