Description

Cedrus atlantica ‘Horstmann’ (Horstmann Blue Atlas Cedar) is a semi-dwarf, slow-growing evergreen conifer selected in Germany for its striking glaucous blue-green needles and compact, upright form. It retains the classic atlas cedar traits—needle clusters in tufted whorls, a typically irregular pyramidal habit, and a straight trunk—but in a much smaller stature than the species. The dense, icy blue foliage gives strong garden presence even in limited space, and its elegant structure makes ‘Horstmann’ a standout specimen in smaller landscapes or foundation plantings. Its narrower size and refined appearance make it a preferred alternative where full-size Atlas cedars would be too large.
