Juniperus virginiana Brodie Portfolio Eastern Red Cedar

‘Brodie’ is a selected cultivar of Eastern Red Cedar featuring a narrow, upright/pyramidal habit reaching 15–25 ft in height and 6–10 ft in width. This fine-textured evergreen boasts deep green foliage that often takes on a burgundy bronze tint in winter, fragrant red-brown exfoliating bark, and small grayish-blue berries favored by cedar waxwings and other songbirds. Developed by Proven Winners and propagated by cuttings for uniformity, it’s hardy in USDA zones 3a–9b, extremely drought- and deer‑tolerant, low-maintenance, and ideal for screens, privacy hedges, or specimen plantings.
