Schoenoplectus Pungens Three-Square Bulrush is a perennial with green sheath fronds. Three-Square Bulrush is covered in long, lance-elliptical, round-tipped, orange-brown to purple-brown to straw-colored spikes with florets. These flower spikes give way to wide, lance-elliptical, bright to dark orange-brown, or purple-brown straw fruits that ripen from late spring to summer. Three-Square Bulrush is great for streams and ponds. It grows best in wet soils under part shade to sun.
