Simpson Select Red Maple has red-tinged leaves in spring that turn dark green with whitish undersides and turn yellow and red in the fall. Erect clusters of tiny, red flowers bloom in early spring. Simpson Select Red Maple thrives well in full sun or part shade and average, moist to wet, well-drained soils. Its smooth, gray bark with ridges and furrows adds special interest to specimen plantings in lawns and streets.
