Plectranthus VELVET™ ‘Starlet’ is a standout cultivar in Terra Nova’s Velvet™ collection, prized for its compact, naturally mounding habit and vibrant carmine-pink tubular flower clusters that persist from late summer into fall. Its foliage, deep green with a purple underside, forms a rich backdrop for the blooms. ‘Starlet’ requires no growth regulators or pinching and thrives in part to full shade, making it ideal for containers, mixed plantings, or indoor use. It is hardy in USDA zones 9–11 and was introduced by Terra Nova around 2021 as part of a series of superior Velvet™ spurflower cultivars. This cultivar notably features the strongest carmine-pink blooms in the genus and has gained recognition in trade publications for its garden performance.
