Fuel Surge Updates

Due to the Middle East conflict, fuel prices have risen significantly. These increases could last several months and impact your operating expenses and our delivery costs. In addition, we’re seeing higher costs in Urea, which is used in fertilizer and combination products. We’re doing all we can to mitigate these higher costs, but it’s likely our delivery fees and certain product pricing will increase.

This situation is evolving and we will continue to monitor new developments and keep customers informed about potential impacts on their business.

What to Expect

  • Increased fuel costs are impacting our cost to operate trucks and service customers.
     
  • Carriers/brokers are using fuel surcharges as well to cover the higher costs of fuel on inbound shipments.
     
  • In an effort to keep up with growing costs, we will be implementing fuel surcharges on our outgoing deliveries. These are planned to be temporary and will expire when fuel prices become more manageable. See your local branch for specific fuel surcharges.
     
  • Product pricing on fertilizers and combination products will rise 5 – 7% starting April 1st.

What We Are Doing

We are isolating additional fees to a per-order basis vs. applying standard fees across all orders.


Things You Can Do to Protect Your Business

  • Consolidate SiteOne orders to limit deliveries & related fees.

  • With potential costs rising, pass these on to your customers in a timely manner.

  • If you quote projects, limit project quote windows for your customers while we remain in this dynamic period.

  • If possible, purchase fertilizer and combination products ahead of the increases.

  • Set up a SiteOne account online or at your local branch to ensure you receive the most competitive pricing we can offer.

  • Call your local branch associates for current pricing.
