Description

A standout selection of the southwestern native desert willow, this cultivar features deep emerald-green, willow-like foliage and striking, velvety white flower buds that open to dramatic dark purple-burgundy trumpet flowers with yellow throats, creating showy dappled shade beneath its canopy. It was discovered and developed by Mountain States Wholesale Nursery in Glendale, Arizona, following many years of experimental plantings and released under the trademark Desert Diva®. Notably, it produces very little seed (approximately 98 % seedless) allowing more energy to go into abundant floral display, and is adapted to water-wise landscapes and full sun conditions.
