Description

Camellia sasanqua, commonly known as Sasanqua Camellia, is a graceful broadleaf evergreen shrub native to Japan and historically cultivated since at least the 1600s for its tea-related leaves and fragrant autumn-to-winter blooms. It is celebrated for its earlier flowering season compared to Camellia japonica, delivering abundant single to semi-double blossoms when few other shrubs are in bloom.
