Phyllostachys Vivax Aureocaulis Golden Chinese Timber Bamboo is a landscape tropical that prefers full sun or partial shade. Its long, glossy, dark green leaves sometimes feature thin, creamy yellow stripes. The extremely tall, upright, golden yellow canes are adorned with random, fine green stripes. Aureocaulis Golden Chinese Timber Bamboo is excellent for screens, narrow hedges, and specimen plantings. It thrives in fertile, humus-rich, moist, well-drained soils. The canes are bright yellow at first, then become deep golden yellow before maturing to slightly orange-yellow.
