Polygonatum Odoratum var. Pluriflorum Variegatum Variegated Solomon's Seal prefers part to full shade and humus-rich, fertile, moist, well-drained soils. 'Pluriflorum Variegatum' Solomon's Seal has elliptic bright green leaves with cream-to-gold margins and parallel veining, with distinctive red stems. This perennial produces fragrant, bell-like white flowers, tipped in green, that hang delicately below the leaf stem. The graceful arch and striking red stem color of this tall ground cover make it a stand out in the woodland garden. Expect blooms from late spring to early summer, followed by berries. Polygonatum Odoratum var. 'Pluriflorum Variegatum' is sometime referred to as Jinguji in reference to the Japanese nursery where this red-stemmed variety was discovered.
