Sophora Secundiflora Texas Mountain Laurel is noted for the vibrant flowers and seed pods. Texas Mountain Laurel is an evergreen ornamental tree with a narrow upright growth habit. Texas Mountain Laurel showcases highly aromatic, purple-blue flower clusters in spring. The flowers have pollen that gives way to grey fuzzy pods, with red seeds that appear from summer to fall. Texas Mountain Laurel bears dense and lush foliage of leathery, lustrous, dark green leaves. The ornamental tree is ideal for beds, borders, hedges, and screens. Texas Mountain Laurel prefers full sun or part shade and alkaline, average, dry to medium, well-drained soils for optimal growth.
