Euphorbia Characias Bruces Dwarf Spurge is a perennial that prefers partial shade to filtered sun to partial sun to full sun. It has a low mound of rounded deep-green leaves, bearing upright spikes with loads of small vermilion-red bells. The large club-shaped chartreuse flowers bloom from late spring to mid-summer. Bruces Dwarf Spurge is ideal for use as a dry border for bulbs, mass plantings, containers, and as cut flowers. The plant thrives in neutral to acidic to alkaline, normal or sandy soils and grows up to 2-3 feet, forming a low, dense bush. It is an evergreen perennial containing milky sap.
