Description

Salvia farinacea Cathedral™ ‘Blue Bicolor’ is a sterile, compact cultivar in the Cathedral™ series (Green Fuse/Monrovia), native to Texas, Oklahoma, and northern Mexico. Growing 12–21” tall and wide, it produces prolific, stout flower spikes with deep-blue corollas and contrasting silvery-gray calyces from spring through summer. The glossy foliage and sturdy stems offer excellent disease resistance, drought tolerance, and wildlife appeal—especially to hummingbirds and butterflies. Its uniform habit and striking bi‑color blooms have made it a standout in plant trials, earning top-10 status and top performers awards in U.S. trial gardens.
