Brassica Oleracea Acephala Group Ornamental Cabbage and Kale are winter greens grown as cool season crops. The plants bear large rosettes of broad flat or curly leaves, ruffled leaves in a tight rosette or rise tightle from a center stalk. This group includes primarily Kale, Collards and ornamental Brassica. Leaf colors are usually quite showy, including white-cream, green, pink, rose, red and purple. Acephala Group Ornamental Cabbage and Kale prefers full sun and organically rich, consistently moist, well-drained loams. This annual plant can be used for mass plantings, border fronts, edible and food garnishing. Some are not edible, so always check the label.
