Description

Eupatorium Purpureum ssp. Maculatum Gateway Pye Weed is a perennial plant that prefers full to filtered exposure and average, medium to wet soil. The wine-red stems of Gateway' Pye Weed are covered in coarsely serrated, lance-shaped, dark green leaves. In mid-summer to early fall, it blooms with tiny, dusky rose-pink flowers in huge, terminal, dome-like clusters that bloom from mid-summer to early fall. Its seed heads persist well into winter. Gateway' Pye Weed has an erect, clump-forming growth habit and is suitable for borders and cottage landscapes.
