Description

Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Charm’ is a classic mophead bigleaf hydrangea, prized for its medium-large rounded flower heads that shift from deep rosy pink in alkaline soils to rich violet-blue in acidic conditions, giving dramatic color versatility in the landscape. The 4–5 ft, rounded, bushy shrub bears glossy dark-green foliage that often picks up orange-red tones in fall, extending its season of interest beyond the long summer bloom period. It performs best in partial shade with rich, moist but well-drained soil and even moisture, and is noted as heat- and humidity-tolerant compared with many traditional bigleaf hydrangeas.
