Forestiera Pubescens Desert Olive is a deciduous shrub that prefers alkaline soil and requires full sun to partial shade. Inconspicuous yellow-white flowers with showy yellow bracts bloom in spring and dense clusters of small, one-seeded, blue-black berry-like drupes on female plants appear in late summer. Desert Olive is suitable for windbreaks or hedges and has light-green to grayish-green, oblong, simple leaves that turn yellow in fall. Additionally, Desert Olive features whitish bark.
