From late May to August, flowerheads comprising seven golden-yellow blossoms with multiple stamens and 3-parted ovaries develop on Golden St. John's Wort. These blossoms turn into ovoid capsules and blackish seeds. Golden St. John's Wort thrives in average, dry soils and full sun to partial shade. This semi-woody deciduous shrub has a compact and low-growing habit. It is generally used for a hedge, foundation planting, or small grouping.
